Cass McCombs Announces Summer Tour, Premieres New Video

If you were worried Cass McCombs was only going to do those few dates in May to support his album Wit’s End  (Domino Records), rejoice! He just announced a series of dates around the country (and Canada) where he’ll be joined by Lower Dens so you now have the entire month of July to see him play live. Check out where and when at the end of the post but not before you watch the video for the song “County Line,” off of Wit’s End, which Cass directed himself. The slow motion images of the American South blend really well with the mellow sound of the track.

Lower Dens Releases Single and Adds Tour Dates

Lower Dens has been quite busy these the past few months.  They have a new single called “Batman” and have covered Mayo Thompson’s “Dear Betty Baby.”  Both songs are below:

Lower Dens Plays a “Yours Truly” Session, and Releases First Single, ‘Batman’


Female fronted Indie rock band from Baltimore, Lower Dens, has announced their 2011 tour dates. Starting on January 3rd in Washington DC, they will finish March 15th in Norman, Oklahoma.

Previously releasing their first album, Twin-Hand Movement, the new single “Batman” is off the upcoming EP of the same name to be released January 18th. They recently performed the single for a “Yours Truly” Session that you can watch here.
