It hasn’t been too long since Florence + The Machine hit the music world by storm with their debut, Lungs, and the group is already working on the follow-up.
Singer Florence Welch spoke to Nylon Magazine recently and stated the band has been working on new songs with producer Paul Epsworth who has also worked with Kate Nash and Adele. Nice choice. Welch also said that this time the lyrics would be a bit darker and the songs would be about imaginary things. No release date has been set yet, but keep your ears and eyes peeled. Keep checking back for more updates on Florence + The Machine’s progress.

Colourmusic Sketch Out Summer Tour
On Tuesday, Colourmusic will release their new album My ____ Is Pink. The disc has been described by band leader Ryan Hendrix as a concept album “focused on human sexuality and reproduction. Not in terms of turning people on; from a point of view of fear and anxiety, and how it’s the prominent decision-making force in many people’s lives.” This summer, the group will tour to promote the record; dates are below.
Liturgy Premieres ‘Generation’, Release Second LP ‘Aesthethica,’ And Announces CD Release Show at Knitting Factory June 2nd

This Brooklyn black metal band has been busy recording screams and droning guitars. Though “Generation” accomplishes everything this extreme subgenre boasts (minus the screams), “High Gold” sounds much like “Generation” (with the screams), but at faster tempo. You can feel the angst seeping out of his every earth-shattering yell. You can visualize churches burning, the lead singers drinking kitten blood, and participating in other various anti-Christ activities. Liturgy will be leaving shortly for their second European tour, but when they return be ready to head-bang and scream along because they will be celebrating the release of Aesthethica at the infamous Knitting Factory on June 2nd. Bring your finest Goth and witness the chaos.
Kevin Spacey Fights Cassettes Won’t Listen

Most people would be flattered to have an album titled after them. Well, apparently actor Kevin Spacey is not one of those people. Jason Drake also known as Cassettes Won’t Listen originally planned on naming the record after the insane actor. Spacey has slapped Drake with a a cease-and-desist order, of course after several thousand copies of Kevinspacey have been printed. The album will now be called Evinspacey…umm clever? It will drop June 21st on Daylight Curfew records. This is Drake’s second cease-and-desist order, as he also got slapped with one in 2008 for the Guns N’ Roses and Ludacris mashup “Ludacris Democracy.” Cassettes really won’t listen.
