Remix Fridays!: Miike Snow “Animal” (Mark Ronson Remix)
Yea, we forgot how awesome this remix is. We posted the Miike Snow “Animal” track done by Mark Ronson earlier in the year and just rekindled our love for it today. For those of you who have never heard it, give it a listen. For those of you who have, get your ass out of the desk chair and start dancing. Now.

CMJ Schedule: A Sneak Peek
CMJ’s official Marathon site doesn’t give us any clue to who is playing where during the fest which kicks off on the 19th. That doesn’t mean OhMyRockness didn’t spill the beans though.
Thank you!
My head hurts looking at it in this format though. The load of band never gets boring.

More to come we’re sure.
Cary Ann Hearst Premieres Her Video For “Hells Bells”
Cary Ann Hearst writes in her bio on Myspace that “those who hate country music hate her especially for forcing them to like country music.” Indeed, don’t expect to hear Taylor Swift when turning on her music. This South Carolina girl has an edge and roughness seldom heard in today’s country music scene. This week, on My Old Kentucky Blog, she premiered her video for the song “Hells Bells,” off her EP Are you Ready To Die Yet, out on Filter US Recordings. She appears in a silent movie-inspired setting as a joyful bride turned into a murderous betrayed wife. This song was recently featured in HBO’s True Blood; that’s how bloody it gets.

Enter Apache Beat’s Psychedelic World With Their Video For “Another Day”
After their two successful 7″ releases “Tropics” and “Blood Thrills”, Apache Beat will finally present their debut album, Last Chants, on October 5th! The album, produced and mixed by Martin Bisi, will be out on Babylon/Beverly Martel Records. If you’ve been following Apache Beat, you’ll surely recognize their previous single “Your Powers are Magic” among the new material but you will also discover a few collaborations with some members of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture and Lightspeed Champion.
And speaking of recognizable tunes, Apache Beat just premiered a video for their crowd favorite “Another Day,” which premiered on SPIN.com this week. Directed by Cherise Payne, who has previously worked with Friendly Fires and singer-songwriter Jack Peñate, the video is a succession of trippy, colorful images of eyes, waterfalls, explosions and fireworks that melt and dissolve into one another to create a delightfully psychedelic chaos in which the band appears by transparency. Warning: You may get a bit dizzy.
