Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. go on tour with Tapes N’ Tapes

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. is a Detroit-based band composed of Daniel Zott and John Epstein, which are pictured in an oil painting to the left. This will serve as the album artwork for their debut LP, “It’s a Corporate World”. Here’s what Epstein said about the eclectic album: ‘It’s a Corporate World’ is really about two individuals existing in separate lives, and the ideas that can form or possibilities that can open up when one person starts to rely on another with a genuine sense of trust and mutual respect”. Check out their upcoming tour below.

Oberhofer Prep for Tour with Live Sessions Release

Brooklyn based Oberhofer released two different radio sessions onto the interweb. Unfortunately, as far as we can tell, BreakThru Radio has already taken down the audio from their session with Oberhofer. Daytrotter’s, however, is still up. And, even better, its available for download. The Daytrotter session offers a  nice taste of the band’s music for new fans looking to hear more. The sessions’ closing number, “House,” is especially good.

Known for their live shows, Oberhofer will be hitting the road beginning in January. Said tour will see them playing with bands like Distractions, The Vaccines and Tapes N’ Tapes. Check out the list of dates below.

Tapes ‘N Tapes Are Back!

Tapes 'n Tapes Prep New Album

Minneapolis-darlings Tapes ‘n Tapes have been somewhat quiet these past couple of years, with no major announcements and the group’s last full album being 2008’s Walk It Off.

Now the band is making noise, and lots of it.

Their newest album, Outside, will be released January 11th on a shiny new label.

Ibid Records (Tapes ‘n Tapes own record label) is being relaunched to release their latest CD, and we’ve got the track list right here for you.

Outside will look like this…

01 Badaboom
02 SWM
03 One in the World
04 Nightfall
05 Desert Plane
06 Outro
07 Freak Out
08 The Saddest of All Keys
09 Hidee Ho
10 People You Know
11 On and On
12 Mighty Long

The Delorentos

I’ve been handed some great albums and mp3s lately. Alot of them have been totally blowing me away, especially this one band.  Folks I would like to introduce you to Dublin’s own, The Delorentos.

The band has a sound that would put most other bands to shame. They seem to blend a bit of The Strokes with a bit of We Are Scientists vibe and a dash of Arcade Fire. Are you curious yet? Well you should be. I can’t stop listening to them yet. The Delorentos have toured with such great bands like The Futureheads, Gang of Four and Tapes n Tapes (wow!) and recently released their first full length titled ‘In Love With Detail’.  This is one band to keep an eye on.
