Sufjan Stevens Is “Too Much”

Fresh off of his newest album Age Of Adz, Sufjan Stevens has just released his the first music video.
Featuring the song “Too Much” the video features some out-of-this-world dancing mixed with extremely trippy effects throughout. There’s not a lot to ponder here, just a lot of dance moves and crazy video tricks. And isn’t that what we all really want anyways? Enjoy!

Ryan Adams Turns Leftovers Into Double Album

On December 14th, Ryan Adams will release his 12th studio album. Entitled Cardinals III/IV, the album is Adams’ 5th with The Cardinals and features material recorded back in 2007. According to Adams, he and the Cardinals walked out of the studio 3 years ago with over 60 songs.
And, while this material wasn’t good enough to make the album they released back then, Cardinals III/IV is supposedly a “concept rock opera about the 80’s, ninjas, cigarettes, sex, and pizza.” The first single from the album, “Destroyers,” can be heard down below.
Mogwai Reveal Cover Art & New Single From New Album

U.K. rockers Mogwai have released details for their forthcoming album Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will which will be released in the U.S. on February 15th on Sub Pop Records and the band’s very own label Rock Action Records in the U.K.
The first single from the album, “Rano Pano”, is an airy and guitar driven instrumental piece that takes its listeners on a five minute journey. In addition to the free download offered by the band, the single will be released on 7” vinyl and will be backed with “Hasenheide”.
The band recorded their seventh album over the course of last summer at Chem 19 Studios. For Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will, the band returned to their roots with Paul Savage producing. Savage also produced the band’s debut album Mogwai Young Team in 1997 and the band felt that it was time to work with him again since both parties had grown quite a bit over the years.
Mogwai will embark on a U.S. tour beginning April 19th in Washington, D.C. To download “Rano Pano”, click here.

Arboretum Reveals Track Listing & Cover Art For Upcoming Album
Inspired by Carl Jung’s The Red Book, Arboretum’s upcoming fourth album The Gathering has woven together a mixture of songs based on the concept of “losing one’s way and finding it again.”
Dave Heumann, singer, guitarist and primary man behind the lyrics, has always been an admirer of Jung’s work and says that he’s been a longtime fan of experiences that surpass comprehension. Using imagery based on Jung’s psychological archetypes and themes from Gnostic mythology, The Gathering is a perfect display of the perfect melding together of Heumann’s lyrics and guitars with Corey Allender’s driven bass lines that make it easy for listeners to get lost in the imaginary world the band has created.
For The Gathering, Arboretum enlisted Matt Boynton who recorded the band’s 2007 release Rites of Uncovering. Boynton was able to capture the sound Arboretum was trying to create and the result is somewhat of a masterpiece with both the album version and live performances blowing the audience away with such vivid detail.
Arboretum plays Cameo in New York City on Friday, December 3rd. The Gathering will be released February 22nd on Thrill Jockey Records with a tour to follow in the U.S. and Europe.
Tracklist:
01 The White Bird
02 When Delivery Comes
03 Destroying to Save
04 Highwayman
05 Waxing Crescents

07 Song of the Nile
