Sam Roberts Band Announces Upcoming New Album, ‘Collider’
Sam Roberts Band will release their new album, Collider on May 10th on Zoë/Rounder Records. Produced by Chicago-based producer Brian Deck (Modest Mouse / Iron and Wine,) Collider is the follow up to Roberts’ critically acclaimed album Love At The End Of The World.
“There’s got to be some desperation to your writing,” Roberts says. “You’ve got to maintain that feeling of survival – that you can lose your grip at any time. That’s where songs like these come from – from the realization that you can never figure it out completely, that your grip can never hold on forever. It’s always there; every time I sit down to write. That’s why the record is called what it is: ideas collide, especially when you’re making music. When you take things that are seemingly different, you can smash them together and create something new.”

Ryan Adams Announces European Tour
Remember when Ryan Adams said he was retiring forever? Well that didn’t last very long unless less than 3 years is forever. Today the shaggy haired rocked announced that he was heading out on a European tour in June without The Cardinals. All of the shows will be solo-acoustic sets. Ryan is also working on a new record with producer Glyn Johns, so of course in Adams fashion there are sure to be some new songs hitting the road with him. Ryan, it’s good to have you back. Watch out and check back as there are sure to be a few U.S. dates in the works.

Railroad Revival Tour is Born!
HUGE announcement – 3 amazing bands will be embark on a tour being called the “Railroad Revival Tour.” The bands are Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show. WOW! The bands will be traveling to 6 different locations in the southwest via vintage railcars. The train will be 1,500 feet long and comprised of 15 vintage railcars from the 1950’s and 1960’s. Not only will the bands be traveling on this astounding mode of transportation, they will also be eating, sleeping and recording as they ride to each location. The entire tour experience will be captured on film for a soon-to-made documentary.
