These days, it’s not enough to merely claim The Rolling Stones and The Kinks as influences. Everyone loves The Stones and Kinks, thanks to Martin Scorsese and Wes Anderson films, respectively, just like every band claims to be influenced by such 60’s and 70’s music. Yet, The Booze make it all believable. Having toured as Muddy Waters Jr.’s backing band and opening act, this Southern Rock outfit have etched out their own sound “marrying a motherlode of 60s R&B/Mod with a Stonesy switchblade swagger.” My Old Kentucky Blog. The new album, At Maximum Volume, is slated to be released March 8th on Underrated Records. Look for them on tour with label-mates The Biters, along with a date at SXSW 2011.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. is a Detroit-based band composed of Daniel Zott and John Epstein, which are pictured in an oil painting to the left. This will serve as the album artwork for their debut LP, “It’s a Corporate World”. Here’s what Epstein said about the eclectic album: ‘It’s a Corporate World’ is really about two individuals existing in separate lives, and the ideas that can form or possibilities that can open up when one person starts to rely on another with a genuine sense of trust and mutual respect”. Check out their upcoming tour below.
