Minneapolis based Now, Now are hitting the road in support of their recently released EP, Neighbors. The follow up to their critically acclaimed full-length debut Cars, Neighbors was met with a warm response from critics.

Toro Y Moi Peak Underneath The Pine


When South Carolina’s Chaz Bundick (aka Toro Y Moi) signed to Carpark Records in late 2009, his plan was to release two records in 2010. His electronic debut, Causers of This, hit shelves in January of last year. But, his followup was pushed. Entitled Underneath the Pine, the album is set for release on February 22, 2011.

Unlike Causers of Them, Underneath the Pine, features almost entirely live instrumentation. This creates a homespun sound, which is different for Toro Y Moi. Later this month, Toro Y Moi is headed out on tour (dates down below).

Two of the most far out bands are getting together to do a split 7” for the Mexican Summer label before they embark on a tour across the land.

Best Coast and Wavves have announced the 7” Summer is Forever with the upcoming tour sharing the same title.

Both bands will bring a new track to the tour-only release. The tour starts near the end of January, and with stops in Minneapolis and Chicago in mid-February they might be reconsidering the name of their tour very shortly after.

Yeasayer have decided that 2010 was such a good year they had to give something back to their fans.

With that spirit in mind, the band has opened its audio vaults and released a live album for download. You can snag Live at Ancienne Belgique on their website and the band even lets you choose the price for the album (yes, free is an option).
