The Strokes on the Cover of Spin Magazine
In case you’ve missed seeing their glowing faces on your newstand, The Strokes issue of Spin recently came out last week. In a special feature called “Behind the Comeback,” the magazine talks to the guys, seperately, getting a glimpse into all of their personalities and the problems the band have been having as a whole. It’s a good insight for the diehard fans or those just wanting to know more about the guys. The Strokes to Headline Sweetlife Festival
The Sweetlife have just announced their 2011 festival line up and The Strokes are set to headline. The show which takes place at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, will also feature
Lupe Fiasco, Crystals Castles, Cold War Kids, Girl Talk, Walk the Moon, Ra Ra Riot and Theophilus London. Sweetlife is an eco system friendly festival sponsored by Sweetgreen, which is a resturant that environmentally conscious. The whole festival will be organic and even have a farmer’s market. Weird place for The Strokes to be playing, no?

Fans Riot for The Strokes at SXSW
What happens when you tell all of SXSW in Austin that The Strokes are playing a free show? Well 30,000 people show up and riot and break down the gates when you don’t let them in. It was a peaceful riot where no one seemed to get hurt. Hell, they just wanted to see The Strokes. When did this happen? Strokes riots? Selling out Madison Square Garden’s 20,000 seats? Congratulations fellas, you are bigger than The Beatles. We are loving it.
