It seems to be a long time since we’ve heard from Death Cab for Cutie, but maybe that’s just us. The band just premiered two new songs this past weekend at the Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco, and we have the links to give them a listen down below. DCFC will release their newest effort Codes And Keys soon on May 31st, so check back for more information. If The Strokes didn’t get you all pysched with announcing a new album and following tour, they are certainly trying to entertain you now. The boys just released a video for the first single, “Undercover of Darkness.” This video is a little different for the band as it shows a more mature Strokes. Albert (sans Fro), Niko, Nick and Fab are all dressed up in suits as Julian is sporting the hipster-cool leather jacket look. Nice. The Strokes drop their long awaited record, Angles (BMG), on March 22nd and we have a feeling the fun isn’t going to stop anytime soon.

They just released a second song from the record titled “You’re So Right,” that you can stream exclusively on NME (where else?). Check out the new song HERE.

Brooklyn duo CREEP has announced that not only are they doing SXSW, they are also embarking on a US tour supporting the Klaxons. They have also released a single called “Days” which can be heard right here:

It’s a curious thing to have a trailer for an album, but when Erland & The Carnival make one for their upcoming full length release, Nightingale, it really works. With images of fleeing children, death and waving scarecrows in an early 20th Century setting, the sinister and ominous music seems ever so fitting for a Hitchcock-esque horror film, adding a great visual companion to the music.
The album is set to be released on March 29th from this English band that is one part dark folk, one part Pulp like Brit-pop and the rest just pure rock. Judging from the album trailer and the music video for “Map of an Englishman” off Nightingale, we’re in for equally exciting aesthetics inspired by the music.
