Tennis Sign To Fat Possum and Prepare Debut LP

The duo from Denver that make up Tennis have been getting a lot of internet love this past year, so it’s unbelievable to find that not only have they not released an album, but it won’t be out until January 2011.  Hoping to not get outpaced by their own hype, Tennis seem to be going down the appropriate indie rock checklist at the moment:
release a 7″, shows, another 7″, more shows, internet acclaim, tour, sign to an accredited label…. and album.

If you’re wondering “what tour?” and “what accredited label?”  The answers are dates with The Walkmen and Japandroids, and Fat Possum.   If you still feel the need to figure this band out a little more before committing to a $8-$15 ticket, here is a link to the always lovely Daytrotter session they were featured on.

Rival Schools Release New Video

Rival Schools have been hard at work on a shiny new album, which they are calling Pedals. The group took a break from touring with Gaslight Anthem to record a music video off of Pedals for your viewing pleasure.

Although it’s been almost a decade since Rival Schools released their influential debut United By Fate the music video shows that the band as been focused on tightening their sound and improving.

You can find Pedalsfor sale this March (the 8th, actually) on Photo Finish/Atlantic Records.

Catch the first video for the song “Shot After Shot” right here.

Tape The Radio Plan New Single

Tape The Radio have impressed several big names in music with their hard work and shining musicianship, and now their hard work is starting to pay off.

The band jumped into the music biz by releasing their first single “Save A Life” the old fashion way…by themselves. The band hand-made the packaging, numbered the discs and shipped them off.

Next the band enlisted the help of famed producer Alan Moulder (The Killers, Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine) after the producer met frontman Malcolm Carson hand-delivering demos to his studio in London.

Now the group is ready to release another single (this time, preferably with some help from label Hi Tone Music). “Our Love Is A Broken Heart” will be out as a 7-inch and a digital download on November 1st. Luckily for you, you can hear these fast-rising rockers right here first.
