We Are Trees Drop Debut EP on Wax and The Web

wearetrees boyfriend1 [Hypeworthy] We Are Trees’ Boyfriend EP

With an EP called Boyfriend on the way and a lead singer from Virginia Beach, it would be a safe assumption to tag We Are Trees as the latest lo-fi/chillwave sensation. Safe, but wrong. We Are Trees take fidelity seriously. Violins strings hum, James Nee’s Daniel Rossen-style vocals ring out, and you can even hear whisping. Still not convinced? Here is a track off the EP, “Sunrise Sunset,” which will be out digitally and on vinyl November 9th from Collective Crowd Records. You can bundle up for $12 with a pre-order HERE.

Neon Indian Heads West (Mostly)

Upon the release of last year’s Psychic Chasms heard the indie world over, Neon Indian is setting out on a tour in support of the slew of remasters and remixes that further champion his original effort. Chasms is being released as a newly mastered deluxe CD and double vinyl edition on September 28th, including remixes and covers from Toro Y Moi, Bibio, Javelin, and YACHT.

Fret not on the lack of new tunes, though, as Neon Indian just released the single, “Sleep Paralysist” on Green Label Sound. Look forward to hearing the new track, which was produced by Palomo and Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor, on these dates:
