Girl Talk’s New CD Is Cheaper Than Dirt

Well…store-bought dirt anyway.  The CD All Day is one of Girl Talk’s (aka Gregg Gillis) most complex to date, and it’s completely free. It measures in at 71 minutes and a mind-boggling 373 song samples.

You can download it for free. Just click HERE and the CD is almost yours. No emails, no required donations (although I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if you did donate).

It’s been a crazy year for Girl Talk already, playing Congress Theater in Chicago for New Years and hitting up the festival circuit. Gillis isn’t taking any breaks, either. He will be out on the road to support All Day throughout March. If you like the CD, you can go support Girl Talk and get an amazing show in the process. It’s a win win.

Boy Least Likely To…Record A Christmas Album?

In the spirit of…a lot of musicians…the band is releasing a very festive CD this November. The album, appropriately titled Christmas Special, will be out on November 30th on iTunes for the ‘States. The release features eight new holiday songs by the band and three traditional covers.

Additionally, the Boy Most Likely To will be on a short European tour this December to spread their festive cheer. If you happen to be overseas, you can hear their Christmas album live at…

Tour Dates:
(all days December)

Tuesday 7th    Nottingham, Bodega Social
Wednesday 8th    Glasgow, King Tuts
Thursday 9th    Manchester, Ruby Lounge
Saturday 11th    Winchester, Railway Inn
Tuesday 14th    London, Hoxton Bar & Kitche

It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere

New York locals Five O’Clock Heroes are preparing for a February release of their full-length album Different Times.

Part of that means giving you a new song to listen to before the album comes out. You can hear the song City of Lights right here. It’s a piece of pop-rock that is lighthearted and catchy. Seriously, try to stay mad while this song is blasting. I don’t think it’s possible.

If that ray of musical sunshine has you wanting more, you can check out Five O’Clock Heroes live this Friday. The band will be playing a show at the Mercury Lounge November 5th. Look for them there and keep an eye on the calendar so you can snag their new CD when it hits stores February 15th.
