Shehzad Bhanji is a stunning musician who is currently based in Doha, Qatar. Learning the intricate ways of the guitar in his early teenage years, his love of music played an important element in which he has honed his skills over time. Perfectly blending a combination of classic rock, blues, and melodic rock, his talent for bending different genres is musically thought provoking. Fast-forward to 2016 where Bhanji is steadily making a name for himself.

His debut album, “Never Say Goodbye,” is laced with gorgeous instrumentation that brings to life the very heart of the record. It is evident that this is truly a labor of live that Bhanji has brought to life; one chord at a time. To create a record that is stunning without any lyricism shows the talent and skills of Bhanji. His fingers glide smoothly throughout the frets showcasing the time and effort put into this work. Most recently he is sharing the video of the title track “Never Say Goodbye,” which is a perfect first glance into the world of Shehzad Bhanji.

Mooji brings in a breath of fresh air with his new record “Double Agent,” which was released today. Mooji has been on our radar for the past few months, recently releasing his Double Agent EP, to critical acclaim. Now he has taken flight on his full-length debut, also under the Double Agent name, showcasing the very heart and soul of his music. The album takes a musical journey within each track, bringing to life the very essence of the record; and Mooji himself.

Starting off the record is the brilliant track “Boson Booze”-which is laced with stunning instrumentation right from the very start. The impressive sounds carry throughout the record, having you on the edge of your seat in anticipation. As all the tracks were able to carry themselves, there were definitely a few immediate favorites of mine. The first being the track “How Long” (Leadbelly Remix), which is brilliant and utter perfection. The way he was able to incorporate Leadbelly into the song is magnificent, and shows that he cannot be pigeon-hold to any one genre.

Pieces like “Foggy Waters” and “Romantic Kazoo” help to captivate listeners and bring the record to life, with standout key elements such as Mooji’s hypnotic and smooth vocals.

Within the 8-tracks on the record, Mooji is able to create a sound that is both unique and accessible, bringing together listeners from across the board. Mooji creates captivating music that will move you both spiritually and physically. His desire to explore different musical styles and genres, are like no other. His budding metamorphosis and reinvention as an artist, showcases his musical maturity and desire to create; not only for his audience, but for himself.

Froomador kicks off the weekend with his skillfully crafted video for “Solar Energy,” which has just premiered this week. Combining an acoustic, electrical pulse, Froomador brings a unique approach to songwriting, which gives listeners room to build their own interpretation. His new album, Can’t This Wait,  follows in the same vein of “Solar Energy,” which will easily captivate you. Filmed in the Arizona desert, Froomador shows the world what he has to offer with the video. Critically-acclaimed composer, Peter Calanadra, has recently released his new record First Light. An artist whose name may resonate with you, Calandra has spent numerous years composing for  Broadway, film ,television and more…so the chances are you have heard his work already!  His music on First Light is brought to life with various genres as he touches on New Age, Jazz, Contemporary Instrumental, Classical and Refined Pop. These elements come across in his two latest singles, both which have videos, for “First Light,” and “Night City.” Like an artist to a canvas, Calandra’s music proves to be an all-around experience, as his charming and intricate keyboard skills paint a serene portrait.

“My goal is to create music that people love, while also fulfilling my artistic vision. I like painting pictures in sound. It is finding that space where craft and art converge that makes something memorable,” says Calandra.

Chasing Jonah is the alternative indie project initiated by singer-songwriter Ashley Dudukovich, who hails from Florida. Recently the indie songstress has released the incredible new video for “Paycheck,” which is brought to life with a down-to-earth and very relatable storyline.

“Paycheck” is the newest single and video from Chasing Jonah, who has been on the indie-radar for the past few years, most notably with her past release, Prelude. Taking the stage and listeners by storm, she built up a solid following as she traveled the U.S. for an impressive 9 months.

2016 brings great things for Chasing Jonah, as she has most recently released the video for “Paycheck;” a beautifully crafted piece with an equally impressive video. Dudukovich’s voice is gorgeous and haunting as it intertwines throughout the song, helping to bring the theme of the video to life. “Paycheck” is written from the perspective of an artist that gives up everything for what she believes in; a story that many of us can relate to. The piece represents the artists’ struggle to bring their vision to life in the world, at any cost.

Sounds like perfection to me……

A&L is the melding of Anthony Casuccio and Lana Marie. Anthony is a 20 year music veteran whose production work has been nominated for three Grammy awards, been featured in major music publications and topped the music charts. Lana is an award winning vocalist who has been a long-time force on the WNY music scene and voice to many jingles on radio and television. Her stage presence gets people on their feet and singing along to A&L’s song.

A&L’s third release, “Hot Mess” is an upbeat, pop/rock song with catchy hooks and killer guitar riffs. The in-your-face vocal will have you singing along. “We wanted to rock out a little harder on this release” say Casuccio.

“Hot Mess” takes a comedic look at the various characters (some unwanted) that you often interact with at a bar or club. “We are sure that you will recognize these misfits that Lana sings about. We both have laughed at our experiences playing live music in various venues and the crazy people that we see. I figured that everyone could relate to this song.”

“We researched the current top 50 hit songs and realized that almost all of them had no guitar. Our goal is to bridge the gap between good guitar-based songs and popular music.”

The past two years have included various live shows, radio interviews and features in leading music publications. Their songs have been in rotation on over 50 radio stations both terrestrial and internet based all over the world. Their videos have been featured on top video sites. A&L’s last two songs have charted in Europe. “Hot Mess” reached #78 on the Hit-Tracks Top 100 based out of the Netherlands and #46 on the Euro Indie Music charts.
