Danish quintet Alcoholic Faith Mission has announced the release of their Running With Insanity EP to be March 29th. The band has been playing sold-out shows in Europe but is returning to the states for SXSW. Track listing for the EP is below:

These days, it’s not enough to merely claim The Rolling Stones and The Kinks as influences. Everyone loves The Stones and Kinks, thanks to Martin Scorsese and Wes Anderson films, respectively, just like every band claims to be influenced by such 60’s and 70’s music. Yet, The Booze make it all believable. Having toured as Muddy Waters Jr.’s backing band and opening act, this Southern Rock outfit have etched out their own sound “marrying a motherlode of 60s R&B/Mod with a Stonesy switchblade swagger.” My Old Kentucky Blog. The new album, At Maximum Volume, is slated to be released March 8th on Underrated Records. Look for them on tour with label-mates The Biters, along with a date at SXSW 2011.

Make Out will release their highly anticipated debut EP, How To, on February 22. The band, formed of New York native Hennessey on vocals, Jesper Mortensen (formerly of Junior Senior, aka Junior) on back-up vocals and guitar, Anders Christiansen on bass and Olivia Alminiana behind the drums, just performed last night at February 10 at New York’s Tammany Hall. If you missed it, the show was free!
Daniel Pujol, the reluctant “Philosopher King of the Nashville Scene,” and his band Pujol recently released a 7″ single for their track “Black Rabbit.” And, starting last week, they’re touring in support of the song. Peep the video for “Black Rabbit” and a list of tour dates, down below.
