James Blonde Returns with Epic EP

Phil Taylor (drums) and Neil Carson (bass) met Steph Mercier (guitar) and immediately hit it off with their love of music. Alternative rock band James Blonde have played Osheaga with The Black Keys, Arkells, and Weezer, and opened for the likes of Keith Urban, Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes, Sam Roberts, and Serena Ryder in their hometown of Niagara Falls. Their 2017 single “Heartbreak” was picked up worldwide by Starbucks stores and featured on Spotify editorial playlists.

Now, James Blonde is gearing up to release their new EP (produced by Gus Van Go) starting with slick track “Delirium”. The brooding cautionary tale follows the mindset of an addict in denial who is trying desperately to rationalize and justify their self-destructive actions.

Royal Castles are “Frickin Pretty” on New Single

Energetic and hard-hitting, Royal Castles are making nostalgic but contemporary garage-rock. Hailing from the Royal City of Guelph, Ontario, power trio Katrin Sawatzky, Jordan Gabriel and AJ Johnson deliver pounding drums, crunchy guitars and a healthy dose of wooly bass.

Inspired by the fleeting jubilance of youth, “Frickin Pretty” is a late summer anthem serving delicious hooks, bass slides, a killer drum break and sing-along chorus.

Cassidy Mann Brings Bold Release “Election Night”

Growing up in the Prairies, singer-songwriter Cassidy Mann has been singing since she could talk.

By entwining her acoustic roots with gentle electronic textures, Mann finds her true voice on the new single, “Election Night.” As a lyricist, she often reshapes a small moment into a powerful and poetic song that feels both personal and relatable. The lyrics focus on a couple that moved beyond just friends but ultimately ended as strangers.

“I was watching people around me change or come into themselves as a direct result of social justice movements,” explains Mann. “It was becoming really clear what mattered to me when it came to morals, values and the kind of people I wanted in my life. I thought it would be really interesting to use that timeline as a sort of framework for a tragic love story. I hadn’t heard that period of time talked about in that context and it was fascinating to me so I did my best to write about it.”

Avery Raquel Goes the Distance with “Helpless”

20-year-old Billboard charting singer/songwriter Avery Raquel has been entertaining audiences professionally for over 10 years. Her impressive list of accomplishments ranges from television; onto the likes of Spielberg, DreamWorks, and Disney; voice-over work, commercials and radio; as well as a number of professional stage productions across Canada.

Following three critically acclaimed albums, she preps her self-titled fourth for 2022. This new collection of Alternative RnB/Soul is reminiscent of music of the past mixed with Pop and a contemporary style. First up is the playful ballad “Helpless” about a relationship coming to its end. Even when you know this person isn’t meant for you, it can be hard to let go.

Mia Baron Unveils Epic Single “Runaway”

13-year-old Mia Baron began pursuing music a few years ago by recording covers of her favourite songs and posting them on social media. The Toronto based emerging singer-songwriter has spent the past year working on and releasing original music.

Mia’s brand new single, “Runaway,” was triggered by the anxiety of the pandemic. She yearned to escape all of the craziness that was happening around her – to disappear in hopes of getting rid of the stress and bad energy.
