An artist dedicated to raising her voice for social growth, ‘Rebuild’ offers a platform for sharing the story of personal evolution within the Trans community. Directed by a trans woman (Alexa Best) and starring a trans woman (Dr. Kathryn Davis), the music video (out June 11th) follows the life of Kathryn in photographs. From birth, to the struggles of losing her job and being forced to detransition in the 90s to continue to feed her family, a nearly fatal emergency surgery was her wakeup call. Kathryn finally transitioned in 2016 at the age of 70 and is now living as her true, authentic self. She is a prominent member of the LGBTQ+ community in Los Angeles and a founding member of the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles. Alexa’s recently completed short film, Emotional Labor, begins its festival run later this year.
