Grand Atlantic Add SXSW Date

Australian power pop quintet Grand Atlantic will be bringing their psychedelic sound to B.D’Reily’s Pub in Austin for The Drys-A-Bone SXSW Showcase on March 19. Touring in support of their third, untitled album, the group has become so practiced at their live set that even some of the songs on said record were recorded straight from concerts.

The album was recorded in an abandoned psychiatric hospital near Dunedin, New Zealand, and this dark, haunted setting shines through in their music.

Drawing its title from the band’s origins as athletes in Olympia, Washington, Innings is a collection of neurotic power-pop antics, and jangly, amateurish post-punk.
