Secondhand Sunday: Rilo Kiley ‘Portions for Foxes’

Today’s episode comes a little late as I have been fighting with my dvd player since 9am. Yea way to waste the day. I guess it comes with age or recklessness. Last night I took a long drive listening to some old Rilo Kiley. Every now and then I just feel like listening to Jenny Lewis’ voice for no reason. It’s really pretty.

Enjoy ‘Portions for Foxes’, one of my favorite Rilo Kiley videos ever.

Conor Oberst: The Documentry

This is something that is sure to please all diehard Bright Eyes and Oberst fans. …A Mystic Valley Band documentry. The film called ‘One of My Kind’ will debut online Monday, April 15th. The hour long film was recorded by their guitar tech, Paul Schaffart, during the past year and a half. Covering everything from live performances to backstage and touring antics, this film will surely have it all. Actually, I’m surprised Conor never made one sooner.

You will be able to download the documentry at Causecast, IFC, Conor’s Website, Merge Records and Wichita Records (UK). These downloads will also be FREE.

Matt Pond PA ‘The Freeep’

Adding to the lovely holiday spirit of giving, Matt Pond PA has released ‘The Freeep’ for free to their fans.  Nine songs of absolute genius make up the EP which feels just perfect for cold winter nights. Once again Matt Pond PA prove to be one of the most talented bands out there. Pouring their hearts and souls into every bit of music they write and play.

You can download ‘The Freeep’ for free over at Mattpondpa.com

I suggest that you do. You have nothing to lose (but i’m sure you’ll be gaining alot)

ps. ‘Freeep’ is now my new favorite word to say since Rilo Kiley released ‘The Frug’.
