Allison’s Invention Readies New Album

Already up for an Emmy for her work on the movie 5,000 Miles From Home, Allison’s Invention (real name Allison Tartalia) just put out a full-length album.

Fusing elements of jazz, soul, and rock, Sweet and Vicious is hard to pin down, and according to critics extremely hard to stop listening to.

The album was produced by Michael Leonhart (of Steely Dan and Lenny Kravitz fame) and will be released July 27th. That same day, Allison’s Invention will host a CD release show at Sullivan Hall in New York.

Amy Bezunartea’s Debut Album

Amy Bezunartea has a voice that is almost as hard to place as her name.

Part Joni Mitchell, part Magnetic Fields, this new addition to Kiam Records, run by Jennifer O’Connor, is set to release her debut album on November 2nd.

Produced by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.), Amy is celebrating the album with a (free) release party at the Living Room in New York City, November 3rd.

That’s not all. You can hear the first single from her album, “Doubles,” right here!

Chairlift Release Party

Chairlift has just announced that their release party will be taking place tomorrow night, September 30th, in New York City.  Of course this is for their upcoming release “Does You Inspire You” out tomorrow on Kanine Records.

The fun takes place at The Tribeca Grand, 2 Avenue of the Americas, New York City.  It starts at 9pm and ends at midnight. The band will be playing live. This is beyond awesome. I’m telling you, this record is going to be indie rock huge. Go see it if you can!
