Los Angeles four-piece Saint Motel, whom you New Yorkers may have seen with Ariel Pink at Rock & Roll Circus at the beginning of the year, are premiering a new song, “Puzzle Pieces.” And to make the announcement special, they’re giving it away for free on their website, www.saintmotel.com. Listen to the song below:

Here’s “Interpol on Interpol” (The Album And The Band)

If you’ve been following Interpol news, you know they’ve gone through a lot lately; the Creators’ Project now brings us an intimate documentary about what makes this band work, no matter the line-up. In an insightful long-form interview, guitarist Daniel Kessler and singer Paul Banks reflect on their image, their history, their latest self-titled album and their approach to their art. Interpol will collaborate with The Creators’ Project again during this year’s Coachella festival; keep your eyes and ears open for that.

Vandaveer Announce New Album And SXSW Dates

Vandaveer will be releasing their third LP, Dig Down Deep, on April 26th via Supply & Demand music. The alt-folk duo enlisted long time collaborator Duane Lundy to produce. What’s more, you can listen to a first excerpt of the album right HERE.

Guards Release Cover Songs 7″ For Free

Guards are currently on tour in Europe but before they make their way back to the US for a few dates at Austin’s South by South West festival, the band is giving out new songs out for free on their bandcamp page. Well, they’re not technically new songs; they are covers, but they are not any less inventive.

Below is one of the tracks you can download: a cover of M.I.A’s “Born Free”. The others (covers of Vampire Weekend and Metallica, no less) can be found HERE.

The Watson Twins Announce New EP And Tour

The Watson Twins are showing their admiration to artists like PJ Harvey, The Black Keys, Bill Withers, Sade and more by putting together their own take on their songs. The whole EP was recorded in only a week and encompasses moments from five decades of music, with a special Watson Twins touch. You can download their cover of Turtles’ “You Showed Me” on their website HERE.

The twins will also be taking the new tracks on the road over the next two months when they open for Amos Lee and Alexi Murdoch. Check out the dates below.

Allo Darlin’ Announce US Tour

Allo Darlin’ has only been a proper band since 2009 when founder and frontwoman Elizabeth Morris enlisted Paul Rains, Bill Botting and Michael Collins. All of them are also part of different bands – Elizabeth is in Tender Trap, Paul and Michael in Hexicon, Bill in Moustache of Insanity and also in Darren Hayman and the Secondary Modern – but they will be playing together as Allo Darlin’ to welcome the summer in the latter half of spring across the US to support their self-titled debut which came out last October on Fortuna POP and earned them a 7.9 on Pitchfork!
