Philadelphia is currently one of our favorite places for new music, and one band that is certainly on our radar is Dominy….and they’ll be on yours too.

Dominy is a Philadelphia based indie band that crafts hook-laced, irreverent rock and roll that draws a wide array of influences that include surf, classic country, and Americana. Formed in 2017 by brothers John and Alex Dominy, along with Michael Youngkin and Zak Iannitelli, Dominy released their debut album, ‘Wet Leather’ in January 2017, as well as a follow up EP that July titled ‘Dry Pleather’.

During their time playing in Philadelphia as well as touring, Dominy has garnered a reputation for high energy shows suffused with sardonic humor. The band released their second full length album, ‘Drugstore Cowboy’, in June of 2019th, cementing Dominy’s reputation as a contender in the Philadelphia music scene.

Songstress Cloe has just unveiled her gorgeously crafted new single “Save Me,” which stops us dead in our tracks today. At only 13 years old, Cloe is breaking new barriers in the music world with her Dark Synth Pop that is already starting to take the world by storm. Her vocals throughout the track are brilliant from start to finish as they float like a heavenly cloud.  “Save Me,” is the perfect first listen to most for the artist, as this is only the beginning. New York native Jake Benjamin makes a huge splash with his latest single “Bound to You” which has been an absolute delight to our ears…and it will be to yours too. The singer-songwriter combines gorgeous vocals and ambitious harmonies that bring the very soul and essence of his music to life. One of the latest pieces he will be sharing in the coming months, the rumor on the streets is that Benjamin has a fuller release coming shortly….and we’re on the edge of our seats.

Jake Benjamin is a New York-based artist who has earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Miami’s Frost School of Music’s Music Business and Studio Music & Jazz programs, and earned his master’s degree from Indiana University’s prestigious Jacobs School of Music where he studied voice. Because of this formal training, the core to Jake’s aesthetic is his sophisticated harmonic compositional vocabulary. During his studies, Jake has been fortunate to share the stage with renowned artists like Tierney Sutton, Darmon Meader, James Newton Howard, Kate McGarry, Cyrille Aimée, and many more.

Expect to hear more from Jake Benjamin in the coming months as he’s ‘bound’ to become a household name.

Average Gypsy are far from average. The Vancouver based group have been releasing a series a singles that have grabbed the attention of our ears and we’re psyched to hear what the duo has to offer us in the coming months. Their new single “Panda Bunny” is the first introduction to the group that are already making waves in the Canadian scene and beyond.

‘Panda Bunny’ is the 3rd track off their debut album; a 7-track story album, in which each track represents a pivotal moment together as they became Average Gypsy.  Both members grew up listening to hip hop and really appreciated songs and albums that told a story, so we decided to tell their story….and we’re liking it.
