Hunter released his debut album, Life is a Dream, in May 2020 and has reached over 100k streams cross-platform. Kelly McMichael is known for her commanding vocals, classic songwriting, and unique ability to conduct powerful musical forces whether making bedroom beats, rocking a Gibson SG or serenading softly on the piano. She has fronted RENDERS, Thelma & Louise, and The Gloss and Rouge.

Her debut full-length album Waves will be available on May 20, 2021 with co-producer Jake Nicoll (The Burning Hell) at the helm. McMichael’s new single, “Stepping Stone,” marks a transition from electronic based project RENDERS, introducing 60s and 70s classic rock influences with a touch of R&B. LiYON began his career as a full-time songwriter and producer in 2010, making music for films, ads and other artists. After years behind the scenes in Toronto and Los Angeles, and winning a Gemini award along the way, he returned to his hometown of Montreal. That’s when he started making music as LiYON, as a way to release what had been building up in his heart and soul.

Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds are a new-age funk/blues/soul band hailing from St. Boniface, the old French quarter of Winnipeg. “Stuck in Quarantine” (feat. Cityreal & Roman Clarke) is about finding a way to have a romantic relationship during a lockdown. It’s the lead single from Cruel, their forthcoming debut LP which infuses fun-loving songs in a mixture of both English and French. Heartbroken by their inability to play live shows during the worldwide lockdown, Jérémie turned this grim situation into a hip-hop and pop collaboration with lush analog blues sounds.

Nathan Lawr came up during the Toronto indie rock heyday that spawned bands like Broken Social Scene and Feist, drumming for Royal City and Sea Snakes. In 2000, he started writing his own folk songs, releasing a series of critically-acclaimed solo albums. In 2010, he started Minotaurs and spent the next 10 years writing, recording, and performing with a psychedelic funk band.

Now, almost a decade later, Lawr has come into his own, finding his voice as a pop singer and releasing his most powerful collection of songs to date. Nathan’s upcoming album, Apocalypse Marshmallow, is a meticulously-crafted, dynamic powerhouse.

The newest single from the album is “Restless” – a song about living in the modern dichotomy: we can have anything we want but we’re relentlessly unsatisfied.

Originating from small towns outside of Edmonton, Alberta, pop-punk/post-hardcore band Calling All Captains has just shared their new song, “Tailspin”, with the world. The band’s unique sound allows them to dip their toes in both the pop-punk and post-hardcore realms using poppy instrumental elements with a punk-like, aggressive vocal style. “Tailspin” is an energetic and emotional track that highlights the seamless collaboration of all of the members.
