Emerging Country Artist Chris Pastore Releases his new Single “Yearbook Quotes”

Released December 3rd, Chris Pastore’s brand new single “Yearbook Quotes” is a catchy, upbeat Country rock song.

It is the second single release from Baltimore based singer-songwriter Pastore, who has been writing and recording music for some 25 years with various bands throughout the USA.

“Yearbook Quotes” tells a story of a man who is lonely, down on his luck, drinking  but not taking heed of anybody’s advice. He is still having fun! Rhythmic percussion, upbeat guitar with steel pedal effects (Dave Hadley).and an overall clean musical sound.

Pastore says:

“Music like life can sometimes get a little too heavy, (ie 2020), We needed a song to take the edge off a bit, something to laugh at, something to celebrate, call it for what it is, a party singalong.  Sure people went a little bat SH$% crazy during covid, and hence the idea for yearbook quotes!  A whimsical play on words, innuendo, a little hypocrisy and good old fashioned fun!”

And fun is what Yearbook Quotes portrays. There is a solid rhythm together with groove and a classic country sound. Not forgetting, Pastore’s clear vocals which are somewhat reminiscent of artists such as John Mayer or Dave Matthews.

Pastore started on piano as a young boy, moving on to guitar later at school and then joined a local group “Fat Apple,” touring the US from 99-2001. “Turn The Music Up Loud” is his first solo album in more than 10 years, and was carefully created together and recorded at Wrightway Studios.

“this album has far surpassed all of my expectations and invigorated my passion for songwriting and performance.”

Be sure to listen to “Yearbook Quotes”, and Pastore’s new album, coming soon.

The entire jam scene has been generous in helping with his recovery fund on GoFundMe.

Annie Thornhill, Executive Director of The American Heart Association Nashville, commented, “Stories like Peter’s give so much hope for a healthier future for everyone. We are so grateful for survivors like Peter who are willing to share their story to help spread awareness of the mission of the American Heart Association.”

“Last Spring we put together an online virtual concert festival called The Revealed Concert Series to promote my upcoming book, INSTRUMENTHEAD REVEALED. For one of the sets we put a band together, which consisted of Peter Levin, Jimbo Hart, Chad Gamble and Lamar Williams Jr. I told Peter since we had all these guys in the room maybe he should try to get Audley Freed to come in and do another set of Allman Brothers music. The result of Audley showing up is what you’re about to see in this stream. I am so proud we are able to release this video and it means so much more now after everything that Peter has gone through. Christian Parker Debuts Gorgeous New Video for “Every Passing Mile”

Christian Parker comes alive with “Every Passing Mile,” the most recent release for the artist this year from his forthcoming album of the same name. While he started writing it as a road song, it became an allegory about an addiction and a vision of a woman a traveler sees as he passes every coming mile.

Christian Parker says this of “Every Passing Mile”:

It started out as an American road song, but Every Passing Mile ended up telling a very different story.  As it weaves through a haunting soundscape of minor chords and swirling harmonies, and images of man “counting wires and poles along the pine”, the tale begins to come into focus: a man forced onto the road, driven by a sense of desire he can’t escape. As he brings us into the chorus by stating “I see her with every passing mile”, the title’s music video introduces an evocative “woman in white”, a figure which follows him throughout his journey.

In equal measures of melodic color and rhythmic flair, Christian’s dazzling collection of songs have been warming the hearts of listeners over the past 3 and a half decades. By pivoting his lyricism around emotion, tension, and hope, Parker has carved out a sound that constantly keeps the listener craving more, with songs that elegantly weave through a tapestry of pensive acoustic and chiming electric guitars with unforgettable hooks. Acting as a musically minded watchman on the wall, Christian Parker centers the themes and stories of his productions around the events and stories of others, while also honing in his wordplay around the human condition. He speaks to the trials, tribulations and victories we encounter in everyday life, and to the complexities of relationships, whether in the form of loss or appreciation.

In recent years he has worked with producer Louie Hurwitz; Woodstock Records who most notably performed in The Band with Levon Helm. Christian’s efforts as lead guitarist in the Waydown Wailers helped take their 2018 release of Backland Blues to number 42 on The Roots Music Report. The band has been a supporting act for Lady A, Charlie Daniels, Jarrod Niemann, and The New Riders of the Purple Sage – to name a few. Now an artist on SubCat Records, Christian is co-producing with engineer Ron Keck on his newest project Every Passing Mile and Best Kept Secret, a collection of previously unreleased material spanning the last two decades.

Korean Singer-Songwriter GSoul Releases First-Ever English EP

WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “NATURAL”

LISTEN TO THE FULL EP “NATURAL”

We’ve got something to celebrate! South Korean singer and songwriter GSoul released his English EP today on all digital streaming platforms via Warner Music Korea. Following a brief hiatus, the soulful singer is showcasing his personal growth in his artistry.  The music video for “Natural” opens with GSoul standing in between two rock formations followed by a sequence of various shots of nature. Throughout the music video, certain lyrics of the song are visualized and his feelings are conveyed by its respective nature shots. GSoul’s presence at various points in the video ultimately symbolizes his strong devotion to the relationship of his love regardless of where and what form in nature it takes.

The EP has five tracks, with four in English and one is a Korean version of his title track “Natural”. Encompassing a variety of tracks ranging from R&B to acoustic sounds, they include original work to go with his most authentic songs to date. The making of the track and EP “Natural” stems from the depression he experienced as the world was dealing with the pandemic, and GSoul not knowing what he would be able to create for his latest EP; at one point considering not writing music at all for a while. However, with the love and support from his fans, he was energized and motivated to move forward and share “Natural,” as it has helped overcome feelings he felt. To show gratitude for his fans, GSoul has dedicated his latest EP to his fans.

The track “Natural” describes his struggles and devotion to a relationship as natural forces, relying on the organic and instinctive bonds that tie us together. Both versions of this track prepares the listeners to feel assured and affirmed of his unbreakable love, as he expresses the lyrics in his soft voice alongside the soothing sounds of an acoustic guitar. With “By My Side,”  he gives his fans a story on his loyalty to a love and how it’s changed him for the better in a very impactful way. The catchiness of this track’s hook reinforces its message as listeners go on a journey from beginning to end. For “Free (I’m Gonna Be)”, GSoul expresses wanting to escape his self-doubt while not settling for less. Listeners can feel his pain through his voice and relate to this struggle that he and many others face. With “Another Day,” he offers a more happy and jazzy feel compared to the rest of the tracks, but the lyrics tell the story of GSoul praying to get love from a significant other and being able to reach this person even if it’s not real. With this EP,  GSoul not only returned to produce more songs than planned, but also reached new audiences with his English tracks. As a bonus track, there is a Korean version of “Natural” for his fans.

GSoul is a renowned singer mostly recognized for his contributions in the Korean R&B genre, his debut single “You” released in 2015 was his first major hit reaching #1 on the Korean Melon music chart. After he returned from military service towards the end of 2019, GSoul was looking to make a comeback in the music scene. To start off his return to the industry, he released an EP called “Hate Everything” on December 11th, 2019. To date, the album has surpassed over 20 million streams overall and strongly holds an average of 1.1 million monthly streams solely on Spotify. In the summer of 2020, he surprised and impressed all the coaches of “The Voice” Korea by auditioning under his real name Kim Ji Hyun. His singing talent is what led GSoul to eventually win the popular series by capturing all the viewers of the show with his melodic sounds. Throughout 2021, GSoul released singles such as “Stay:tempus” for the Korean Drama show “Sisyphus:The Myth”, “Can Love Be Fair (feat. Ben)” and most recently remixed IV JAY – Vibrate in which his vocals are also featured in.

Speaking about the EP release, GSoul said, “What I love about my fans is that they get me like foreal foreal even when I’m silent. This project really is my message to my fans about how much I love them and how I’ve been. I think I used to just write and make music for me hoping someone would hear me. I just hope my fans feel my love for them from this project as much as I always feel their love and support. I’m so grateful.”
