1. Tell us the story of this song, why did you choose to visualize this song specifically?
We’ve played this song live a bunch & it always gets people dancing. And since the content of the song is *about* a dancer, having the video feature one made sense. Plus who doesn’t love the color ‘Green’?
2. What was the inspiration behind this video (visuals, storyline, etc.)?
The song is about the iceberg we see in strangers, never knowing what’s going on underneath the surface, and seeing only what we want to see. We’re in hotels a whole lot on tour and it’s always fun to wonder what’s going on behind closed doors? Every room has a story.
3. What was the process of making this video?
We were staying at the brand new spot, Hotel Indigo Brooklyn, on tour and the interior just felt perfect. We discovered Charmien Byrd (the dancer in the video) through a mutual friend in NYC. I sent her a link to Fatboy Slim’s ‘Weapon of Choice’ video with Christopher Walken dancing in a hotel and she improvised the whole thing while we shot the footage, listening to the song over and over.
