Suki Rae and Company Charm on New Release

suki-rae-and-company

Suki Rae and Company have just released their new endeavor, “Can’t Stop Now.” The charming new record which clocks in at 10 songs, is a perfect combination of all things Suki Rae. The main purpose of the release, from Suki Rae’s standpoint, is to raise “social consciousness and awareness,” and it indeed does just that. On the album, Suki’s spiritual nature shines through, as each piece is heartfelt, and honestly written. Standout pieces on the album for me include “There’ Someone Watchin’ Over You,” And “Cast Away,” which really dives into the heart and soul of the group. As they combine elements of gospel, blues, spiritual tones and a little bit of rock into the mix, Suki Rae outdoes herself within every song. Classically trained in the flute, and a prominent singer-songwriter, Suki Rae has been performing for audiences all over the world for over 25 years. Impressive to say the least! “Can’t Stop Now,” is a gorgeously crafted record in which Suki Rae and Company shine like the stars they are. Give it a listen, and find yourself with inner peace.

Cordova Rocks Steady on New Release

Screenshot 2018-06-22 at 7.28.40 PM.png

Cordova is back again with their new album “Runaway Summer.” The group who hail from Las Cruces, Mexico, release an ambitious collection of songs that bring their alternative edge to life. Taking a page out of the books of artists such as Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains, the group has shared the stage with the likes of Puddle of Mudd and Hawthorne Heights to name a few. The 4-song release brings the band to a whole new level. With bold elements of hard rock and alternative tendencies, they prominently place themselves as an artist to watch in 2018. The second release from the band, the overall musicianship of the record brings the band to a whole new level. Standout pieces for me include “Hiding” and “Trigger Happy,” which help to showcase the true spirit of the band…and that spirit is good old rock n’ roll. With deep lyricism and storytelling aspects throughout, what we hear is a well-rounded record that will certainly stand the test of time. Dig in a little deeper below with their video for “Trigger Happy.” Get ready to rock out…

Good Vibes with Good Field’s New Release

music_phases24

Good Field comes alive with their latest release, “Surface Tension.” Releasing earlier this year, this is the third full length for the band, that really brings their sound to life. With their first two albums being a little DIY, the band go full steam ahead on what is the most accomplished record of their career. With pop hooks and melodies to die for, and swirling guitars that will keep you on your toes, we hear a band that is steadily on the rise.

For the release they have enlisted the help of Spoon’s Jim Eno and White Denim’s James Petralli in the studio. “Surface Tension” is a true labor of love, as each piece somehow outdoes the next. Standout songs on the album include for me the single “Necessary Feeling,” which drew me in immediately, and “I Can’t See For Years.” It is safe to say we will be hearing more from the eclectic band in the months and years to come…and boy are we ready to rock.
