Geoff Gibbons Unveils a Masterpiece

Every now and then an artist comes across our radar that stops us dead in our tracks. That artist is currently Geoff Gibbons. With his latest release in tow, “Buffalo Hotel,” he comes to life with an epic record on the table. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, his artistry is jam-packed with folk laced skills.
On the release we hear an artist that is paving his own way into the music world. Citing influences such as Modern Mystery favorites, Ryan Adams, Gibbons’ in-depth lyricism and knack for telling a story comes to life. Sharing several lyric videos alongside the release, Gibbons takes us on an adventure with his music, as each song makes you want to dive deeper in. Standout pieces for us include “Lonesome Angel” and “The Other Side,” which has us falling in love with his carefully-crafted sound over and over again. JOÉL is on the rise with his debut album “Seasons Change,” out today. The eclectic artist takes us on a musical journey where he shares his very heart and soul into the record. Creating a buzz in the new year, JOÉL is steadily on the rise with an intimate sound that is truly his own. Creating bold instrumentation and stunning vocal work, we instantly fell head over heels with tracks such as the blues-pop infused “So Young,” and “Spirit of Summer,” which prominently showcases his essence as an artist. Personal songs to JOÉL such as “Texas” brings his background both musically and upbringing alive, as he dives deep into his history.
““The album reflects all the different styles of music I grew up with. Back home, you could go out any night of the week and catch two-step music, blues, hard rock, salsa, and Tejano. All these flavors shaped me, and that’s the diversity I wanted to share on my album,” JOÉL says.

Fueled by a mutual interest in revitalizing the authenticity of raw Rock & Roll music, Acting Natural lead singer & guitarist Eric Carnevale, bass guitarist/vocalist James David Maney, and drummer/vocalist Jesse Leonard have aligned their unwavering dedication to creating quality music with a signature sound. Their inspirations range from legendary artists of the past and present, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles, just to name a few. Acting Natural’s unique sound is focused on passion and solid musicianship.

This young trio, based out of New York City, and each a multi-instrumentalist with refreshingly down-to-earth dispositions, started their journey together at the age of just 13 years old. They began writing and recording original material not long after, instinctively creating a fresh sound with Rock & Roll roots and modern vibes. Singing three-part harmonies, their distinctive blend of music and lyrics is drawn from personal inspirations and experiences, allowing the band to be fully expressive and creative in their songwriting.
