Somewhere in the land of uninhibited love and playful sins, Meggie Lennon is both the game and the rule that begs to be broken, crafting her songs through spirals of unrepentant escapism. Without any musical training but with a huge passion for music, Lennon picked up a guitar at age 30. She could be considered a jack of all trades – writing and composing, co-producing and co-arranging her songs.

Lennon’s latest record, Sounds From Your Lips, will drop later this year. In anticipation of its release, she has shared a new single entitled “Mind Games.” An original take on modern music where dream pop and make-out psych rock become the soundtrack to whatever comes next, Lennon also wrote, directed and shot the accompanying “Mind Games” visuals on her iPhone.

Scout Gillet is one of our favorite new discoveries this Spring, and luckily she shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. The emerging singer-songwriter made the journey from Kansas City to Brooklyn, while in that time finding her true voice and vision. One her latest single “one to ten,” the song is filled with melodic hooks that wrap around Scout’s perfectly crafted vocals and lyricism.

As far as inspiration goes, Scout’s goes far and wide from Karen O. to Bonnie Raitt; and in the music it shows. Having toured the U.S. in multiple bands, and being a booking company herself, Scout Gillett is unstoppable.
Scout recently finished up recording a full length record with producer Nick Kinsey at The Chicken Shack in upstate New York. We are eager to hear more from Scout Gillett; our ears are ready!

For all of love’s agonies, Calgary soul-roots singer-songwriter Jess Knights isn’t sulking over old wounds. On her debut full-length, Best Kind of Light, due out on June 19, 2020 (postponed date due to COVID-19), Knights comes out on the other side of love and loss without all the bitterness, and a sense of self-assuredness and feminine confidence.

“Baby Won’t You Stay,” the first single taken from the forthcoming album, was written on Eleuthera, an Island in the Bahamas that translates to a feminine version of ‘free’ or ‘freedom’ in Ancient Greek. Capturing a vintage, throwback sound with a contemporary twist of dirty blazing guitar riffs, “Baby Won’t You Stay” is the feeling of not wanting a great night to end so that you can enjoy the company of someone who tickles your fancy just a little longer.

Crash Adams (separately Crash and Adams) is a duo from Toronto who grew up together and have been making music since they were young. They produce, write, sing, mix and master all of their own music. 

The upbeat pop track, “Too Hot To Touch,” is the newest song from the band. The track follows the duo’s past single releases that have accumulated over 300k organic cross-platform streams.
The group have spent the last year and a half finishing an album and curating their sound. The duo want to make you feel nostalgic, inspired, and hope to provide a few laughs along the way. A true creative chameleon, Marie-Clo is a born performer who ropes her audiences into a feverish pitch in both French and English. Singer-songwriter and dancer, her eclectic indie pop tackles current themes & conscious lyrics, but also conjures a colourful and enchanted world.

Marie-Clo is currently releasing a stretch of EPs leading up to her debut full length, Shell(e). A conceptual feminist narrative, it is slated to be fully released in 2021, produced by Polaris shortlisted drummer/ producer Olivier Fairfield (Fet Nat, Timber Timbre, Leif Vollebek), with the support of the Ontario Arts Council, the Canada Council for the Arts, and FACTOR.

Marie-Clo’s new single “Trophy Wife” was originally written as a ballad and went through numerous shifts before it’s raw, bold, and uptempo final version that was produced by Olivier Fairfield (Leif Vollebek, Andy Shauf, Timber Timbre). The song speaks of Marie-Clo’s voiceless, nameless time as a hockey wife. As a feminist, she witnessed and lived first hand objectification, double standards, emotional abuse & unsettling normalcy around sexist behaviors within the industry her partner thrived in. Unfaithfulness was simply the unoriginal cherry on top of a patriarchal sundae.

Bringing together strong elements from Folk, Hip Hop, Ambient, Experimental and Jazz, meet B.E.N. Creating a sound that is truly and uniquely his own, the musician take the music world by storm. B.E.N. stands for Bass Every Night and boy do we feel it. B.E.N.’s latest release comes in the form of “How to Live Without Being Controlled By the Past,” which has our ears on fire. From start to finish the record is a complete banger.
