Sloan Plans New Album

Starting to wonder when you’ll hear new music from Sloan? Well, the answer is now. Last week, the band announced their tenth studio album will see release on May 10th. Entitled The Double Cross (as in “XX” ..as in their 20th anniversary), the album is already being proclaimed Sloan’s best yet.

The band also released the album’s lead single, “Follow the Leader,” for free download. If you want the song, just head to the band’s website, insert your e-mail into the “Get a FREE Song” space and they’ll send you a download link.

Teletexile Will Head To Southwest

Teletextile have released a new video that is a little different from most modern music videos.

The video features vocalist Pamela Martinez playing one of the band’s new songs, “The Lark” on a borrowed harp (from Pat Grossi of Active Child).

A new video was not enough for Teletextile. They have also announced a handful of March tour dates, including a stop at SXSW. Also, you can score the band’s EP Reflector for free on their website (here)!

You can check out the video for “The Lark” right here. Head down below for Teletextile’s full March tour schedule.

Seven Saturdays Gets Remix Treatment

Early Morning Fog Bank (Sun Airway Remix) Cover Art

Seven Saturdays is a composer/multi-instrumentalist based out of Los Angeles. Saturdays’ latest release was the 7-song EP The Snowflakes That Hit Us Became Our Stars.

Some songs on that EP (as well as other works by Seven Saturdays) are currently undergoing the remix treatment for the EP Secret Things.

Sun Airways is one of the artists trying their hand at a remix, and you can hear their remix of the song “Early Morning Fog Bank” right here! Look for the EP Secret Things out sometime later in March.

Sandwitches Date Sophomore Album

San Fran’s Sandwitches, hated by spell-check but loved by fans, have been practicing their brand of sparkling pop for a couple of years, and the effort shows on the group’s newest album.

Sandwitches will release Mrs. Jones’ Cookies on March 29th, via Empty Cellar Records. The album builds off the group’s first release (How to Make Ambient Sadcake) and demonstrates the group’s growing music and lyrical skills.

The group’s sunshine pop is too catchy to resist, even as we suffer through another winter. You can hear two of the songs off of Mrs. Jones’ right here. First, “Lightfoot”

…and “Joe Says”
