Nodzzz Take Their Game Into Extra Innings

The release of Garage-pop trio Nodzzz’s 2nd full-length LP is only a few months months away now, and the group couldn’t be more excited. Drawing its title from the band’s origins as athletes in Olympia, Washington, Innings is a collection of neurotic power-pop antics, and jangly, amateurish post-punk.

Beginning later this month, Nodzzz is touring the West Coast. Check out the list of dates down below.

Shiny Toy Guns Reunited… And It Feels So Good

Now, we have a video sampling of what’s to come.

Panda Bear Wraps Up 7″ Series

On March 14th, Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox (aka Panda Bear) will release the final installment of his limited 7″ series. The song, entitled Surfer’s Hymn, is described as a musical representation of waves crashing against the beach. As with Lennox’s previous 7″ releases, this is a limited edition pressing to build anticipation for his debut solo album, which is set for release on April 12th on Paw Tracks.

Celebrate Winter With The 1st Annual Snow Ball Festival

Next weekend, Vail Valley, Colorado will play host to the first ever Snow Ball Festival. The festival, for which pass/ski lift combo packages and music only passes are being sold now, will take place outdoors.  And, while organizers admit it won’t exactly be tropical temperatures outside, they believe the snowflakes, surrounding mountains, and wintery vibes will make for a nice change from standard music festival experiences.

Among the artists stated to appear are Twin Shadow, Miami Horror, Lord Huron, Parisian producer Onra, Gauntlet Hair, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, and The Flaming Lips. For more information on the festival, visit the festival’s website HERE.

Far East Movement Unveil Short Film Project

With their new short film “Rocketeer L.A. Dreamer,” Far East Movement hope to take fans behind the scenes of their crazy lives. Using downtown L.A. as the backdrop, the short film shows fans the inspiration behind their current single, “Rocketeer,” and the community of dreamers that Far East Movement came up in. For the live music portion of the video, the group used the same set up of old mics and amps they used to rehearse with.
