Acrylics Announce Tour

Brooklyn duo Acrylics (aka Molly Shea and Jason Klauber) have announced a North American tour with Jose Gonzalez-led Swedish trio Junip. Set to kick off in late April, after Acrylics play a string of dates at SXSW, the tour is meant to promote their debut LP, Lives and Treasure, out this week via Hot Sand/Friendly Fire Recordings. Golden Dogs Moving Forward With New Music

Finally free of label constraints, Golden Dogs are taking the first step towards their future, with the release of their new single “Long As You Like.” The track is a cut off of their new LP Coat of Arms, which will be released on April 26th.

The band is feeling up-beat and optimistic about their new direction, frontman Dave Azzolini boasts that “the versatility of this new line up opens up a whole new world of possibilities for Golden Dogs live shows and the future of our recordings…there are so many directions we can go…and we’re going to try all of them.” Check out the slew of tour dates recently announced by the band, down below.

Yellow Dogs To Be Unleashed At SXSW 2011

Formed in Tehran, Iran in 2006, Yellow Dogs are a band comprised of friends from the city’s fledgling  punk scene. The band members met in a park called “ghorbaghe”“frog” in Farsi—where rockers, skaters and street artists of all types would congregate, albeit carefully under the eye of Iran’s strict laws.

5 years later, Yellow Dogs are touring in the US and prepping for the May release of their debut EP, In The Kennel. See a full list of dates below.

Sloan Plans New Album


Starting to wonder when you’ll hear new music from Sloan? Well, the answer is now. Last week, the band announced their tenth studio album will see release on May 10th. Entitled The Double Cross (as in “XX” ..as in their 20th anniversary), the album is already being proclaimed Sloan’s best yet.

The band also released the album’s lead single, “Follow the Leader,” for free download. If you want the song, just head to the band’s website, insert your e-mail into the “Get a FREE Song” space and they’ll send you a download link.

The Fresh & Onlys Plan Spring Tour
