Madelline Comes Alive with Electro-laced “late night text”

Originally hailing from Connecticut, Madelline is an artist based out of Montreal. Ahead of her upcoming EP, NOISE COMPLAINT, Madelline has shared a new single about deserving more than the minimum effort from someone. “late night text” starts out somber and builds to a catchy electro-pop bop about not waiting around for a late night text.

Having recently acquired her own studio, Madelline’s entire process of making music was switched up – allowing her to take things into her own hands. Madelline’s forthcoming NOISE COMPLAINT EP was mixed over Zoom, her mixing engineer being a great musical partner who really helped get the vibe right.

King Park Reveals Ambitious New Single for “Stuck in the Middle”

Following the release of their debut EP, King Park is gearing up to release their debut full-length, Everett, later this year. They’re starting with new single, “Stuck In The Middle” –  a more subdued version of the band’s usual alt-rock with chiming guitars and broken-up baritone vocals.

King Park turn out mercurial, high-contrast indie rock. Gritty and lush, the quartet’s sound mirrors the antitheses of their hometown, Hamilton, Ontario: on the one hand, blue-collar and raw, and, on the other, artful and lovely.

Tired Kid Shares Bold Single “Make Time”

New single, “Make Time,” takes an autobiographical look at Tired Kid’s day-to-day life; some of it mundane but relatable, ultimately attached with a bit of happiness.

Tired Kid is the moniker for Thomas Kelly, a musician/composer based in Toronto. Thomas tries to create music with a vintage warmth and psychedelic nature. Inspired by bands from all eras of time, he picks out elements from each like a florist picking out flowers to create a bouquet of sound for eager ears to listen upon. Pure familiarity, pure nostalgia.

Peter Katz Entices on Dreamy Single “KMOTM”

Not to suggest that everyone needs to fall off a cliff to discover a renewed direction in life and art, but, as it turns out, it did work for Peter Katz. The accidental drop was his twisted and not a little bit painful road to making his startling new album, City of Our Lives, set for release November 25th

Dark and moody with explosions of cathartic release, “KMOTM” is a song you should listen to now!

The forthcoming LP’s latest single, “KMOTM,” came out of a place of desperation, of missing human connection, of being so stuck in his own head that Katz just wanted someone to pull him out of it – physical connection, specifically, felt like the preferred means.

Josh Tavares Shares Alt-Pop Video + Single “Cheap Gold”

Toronto-based alt-pop artist Josh Tavares began experimenting with original music at an early age, picking up the guitar when he was 10 and begging his teachers to perform his new songs in front of the class any chance he got.

Cheap Gold,” the lead single from Josh’s forthcoming sophomore project, is about a relationship gone sour. What was once shiny and new is now a chore.

Hawksley Workman Brings Epic Single “Dwindling Beauty” to Life

Two-time JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hawksley Workman takes a darker contemplative turn on his latest release, “Dwindling Beauty.”

Produced and mixed by Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire, The National), listen below!

The song is a meditation on emptiness and giving up, a roughly drawn escape plan, questioning, what if we just gave ourselves over to despair?

Though “Dwindling Beauty” feels like it could have been written this morning, it was penned in Montreal during the winter of 2019.
