Aaron Pollock Debuts New Single “About Her”

Calgary-based singer/songwriter, Aaron Pollock, has branched out from country-based music into the wider world of pop.

His new single, “About Her,” embraces the beauty of having a fire lit inside of you by someone who just rocks your world.

Upbeat acoustic guitar and percussion heavy melodies are coupled with lyrics that celebrate that individual for whom words don’t even come close to describing.

Pollock collaborated with co-writers Lydia Sutherland and Chris Yurchuck to really capture how special the person who inspired this song is.

“Doesn’t need a neon to make her shine, she’s a little more New York at night. That city don’t sleep, neither do I.”

FKB Reveals “Beautiful Fantasy”

FKB is a high-energy, four-piece, alternative rock band based in Edmonton, Alberta, influenced by the mystique, glamour, and excess of the 1960s-1980s entertainment business.

The band has taken influences from the blissful yet somewhat melancholy feeling present in so much of the early indie music from the early 2000s on their new track, “Beautiful Fantasy.”

The bass driven, upbeat indie pop tune uses kaleidoscope imagery to express the rush of excitement and colourful emotions that comes with a new relationship.

Olivia Rees Comes Alive on New Single

Based in Toronto, Canada, Olivia Rees is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist whose music can best be described as a blend of Pop and RnB.

With her new single, “I Got Time,” a bright synth and vocal led recollection of a night out, Olivia captures the rebellious spirit of youth and the feeling of infatuation that can come with an immediate romantic connection.

Lines like “I look in your eyes and tonight it’s all instinct” crystalize the carefree, overwhelming happiness that comes with giving yourself over to the night and allowing yourself to have so much fun in the moment.

FVZ Unveils New Single “Roller Coaster”

Born in Iran, Fazi (FVZ) was raised in a musical family. Upon relocating to Toronto, ON, in 2008, the rising DJ’s job is to take people on a musical journey, get them dancing and have fun. FVZ also believes in the importance of showcasing different kinds of music – his tastes and experiences ranging from Pitbull and Diplo to a two-time placement with the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra.

FVZ’s upbeat new single, “Roller Coaster,” features Raechell Tamaryn and was inspired by a sexual journey she embarked upon following a breakup. Women are often told not to discuss their need for sex, rather just to focus on pleasing the man. “Roller Coaster” is purely about female sexual empowerment.

Eddie Davis Debuts “Billboards & Barracudas”

Singer/songwriter Eddie Davis expressed a passion for entertaining at a young age. Surrounded by vinyl, he was influenced by 60s and 70s era classic rock music and inspired by big vocals and colourful lyrics. This transformed into a genuine desire to emulate the monumental artists of that time through his own meaningful writings and performances.

Eddie is releasing his first solo project with debut single “Billboards & Barracudas” about putting your ambitions aside and celebrating the small victories.

FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE RELEASE NEW SINGLE + VIDEO FOR “ICARIAN”

Southern Michigan’s FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE release their intricate new single and video for “Icarian,” today via all digital outlets.

Bursting to the seams with Modern Rock edge, the group has been plotting world domination since 2020. With overdriven rhythms, haunting melodies and alluring riffs, FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE will not disappoint. The accompanying video captures the essence of the band as performers, while intertwining hypnotic imagery throughout that further brings their sound to life.

FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE is about remembrance and reflecting on the things we’ve laid to rest or outgrown. It’s also a nod to the cycle of existence: life inevitably moves toward death, and death makes way for new life.

“The song “Icarian” is about tearing down the barriers we all have in our minds that keep us from reaching our true potential – this is a song about breaking out and reaching high, portrayed through the lens of the myth of Icarus. The video expands on this theme, with the Icarus character played by a woman on the edge of an ocean. She begins her journey in darkness, gradually building confidence in claiming her sovereignty, until she spreads her wings and begins her flight.” – FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE

For fans of Shinedown, Tool, Halestorm, Daughtry, and Alter Bridge, FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE bring to life a bold and striking sound that will shake your very core.

FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE are Nathaniel Abernathy (lead guitar and supporting vocals), Manuel Tello (bass and supporting vocals), Kenny Flowers (lead vocal and rhythm guitar), and Dan Kesterke (drums/percussion). The song and video were produced by Ryan Hudson of 1887 Media.
