earth2zoe Shares Relatable New Single “Hallie’s Song”

earth2zoe is a Canadian indie pop artist who is both charming and disarming – with her mesmerizing vocals, memorable lyrics, and hard-won confidence. Her sound is a cool mix of pop and melodic, soulful restlessness. Her voice is rich, unique and honest. Born and raised in a suburb north of Toronto, earth2zoe was born Zoe Katzberg. Her first name originates from the Greek word for “life,” and that’s exactly what she is – edgy, quirky, fun, and full of life.

Her relatable new single “Hallie’s Song” describes a strong friendship that faded away, a vulnerable reflection of this relationship that shaped her as a person.

earth2zoe writes songs that reveal painful truths about love, loss, and loyalty. Her youthful insights will remind you to find a place where you belong – because life is hard, and you do not need to struggle alone.

Lenny Bull Rises on “Elevator”

Toronto’s Lenny Bull has had a fascinating career trajectory, from ballet dancer to country singer to rockstar. Her new single, “Elevator,” is firmly in the latter category, it’s a direct and blistering rock track about being stuck in a bad situation.

“Relationships can be a drag. I want you to listen and feel energized instead of drained; motivated instead of weary,” says Bull.

Bull was on a walk with a friend who was going through a breakup. They found themselves discussing the relationship for awhile before her friend expressed how “fucking tired” she was of talking about her ex.

The directness of that sentiment really stuck with Bull. “Elevator” is about not wanting to waste any more time being consumed by a specific circumstance or person.

Taylor Simpson Releases New Single; Gears Up for LP in 2022

Taylor Simpson is an indie folk singer-songwriter from Toronto. Drawing inspiration from his personal struggles and tribulations, he writes with the approach of wearing his heart on his sleeve to connect emotionally with the listener. His debut full-length album, Learning to Live with Precious Time, is set to be released in January 2022

Drifting,” the latest single to be shared from the LP, started out as a challenge for Taylor in his writing. Rather than write from a personal place, he wrote a fictional story and put himself in the shoes of someone else. It’s a song about two people in a strenuous relationship where one person is too much for the other. The love is there, but it’s hard to hold onto and want to keep.

Nares Goe the Distance on “Boulevards”

Rachael Kross, known as Nares, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer from Niagara, ON. Her music incorporates experimental elements of various styles, including hyperpop, dream pop, electronic, country, R&B, and hardcore. Growing up in a small town — with no plans of leaving — Nares’ music comes from a place of vulnerability with an isolated state of mind, romanticising certain street corners, reminiscing about fleeting melancholic romance, and having to live with ghosts of the past.

In the midst of trying to figure out your own life, you can lose track of space and time. It feels like you’re just floating through it all until reality hits you, time catches up and you realize you didn’t know what you had until it was gone. New single, “Boulevards,” captures the nostalgic feeling of sitting down with yourself after years of searching.

Toronto’s HjNX Will Make You “MOVe” on New Release

Toronto’s HjNX have a brand new single to share following their last release, “Meteorite.” “MOVe” feels like the heartbeat of a metropolis surging towards the brink.

Steady synth lines and drums ground this dreamy and uplifting indie pop song.

HjNX describe “MOVe” as “a séance to lift a haunting spell of inertia. As the Stones instructed, ‘you gotta MOVe,’” whether beaten down, battered, or bruised.

The track features contributions from friends of the duo, Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene and Ernesto Barahona (Arkells, Birds of Bellwoods, Conor Gains).

Speed Control Go the Distance on New Single

Hailing from Canada’s North in the Yukon, Speed Control is the rock band that can make you move—even at minus 40 degrees. Brothers Graeme and Jody Peters are joined by members Eric Holland and Greg McLaughlin to bring new, riff driven rock to the world.

The band’s upcoming single, “Danger Pay,” is a hard hitting throwback to 80s thrash metal with a polished edge which harkens back to the sounds of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.

Danger Pay” tells the story of brothers heading off to war, but is also an allegory for the relationships that siblings go through. When it comes down to it, you fall back to those you consider to be your family.
