Details on White Denim’s New Album

Austin-based White Denim is a band whose profile seems to always be on the rise. After garnering recognition from such esteemed outlets as the New York Times, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, the band is set to release their fourth full length album.

D will drop May 24th on Downtown Records. The band named their fourth album, fittingly, the fourth letter of the alphabet.

Furthermore, the band will be playing several sets (with new material) at hometown SXSW.

Grooms Announce Sophomore Album

Grooms are putting the finishing touches on their sophomore album. Prom will be out on Kanine Records sometime this summer, and the band has created a more mature, accessible album than their well-received debut Rejoicer.

The band slept in the studio in order to spend more time perfecting their ambient pop sound that has been favorably compared to Sonic Youth. Look for Prom sometime this summer.

The Living Sisters Premiere New Video

Video pioneer director Michel Gondry has just helped produce a video for “How Are You Doing?”  The single is from the debut album of The Living Sisters, Love To Live.  The video features a hilarious series of disasters but don’t listen to me, see it for yourself!

The Concretes Release Video; Tour Dates on West Coast

Sloan Plans New Album


Starting to wonder when you’ll hear new music from Sloan? Well, the answer is now. Last week, the band announced their tenth studio album will see release on May 10th. Entitled The Double Cross (as in “XX” ..as in their 20th anniversary), the album is already being proclaimed Sloan’s best yet.

The band also released the album’s lead single, “Follow the Leader,” for free download. If you want the song, just head to the band’s website, insert your e-mail into the “Get a FREE Song” space and they’ll send you a download link.
