Chromeo Collaborate With Elly Jackson On Hot Mess Remix


La Roux’s Elly Jackson does not normally step outside of La Roux, but the singer appreciated Chromeo enough to offer vocals for the remix of the track “Hot Mess.”

The song will be featured as a single later this year with Tiga and Duck Sauce also offering up re-imagined versions of the song. Meanwhile, check out the remixed version of “Hot Mess” right here.

Fences Release Free Track, “My Girl the Horse”

Fences have jumped into the remix crowd, offering up their song “My Girl The Horse.”

The artist doing the remixing is DJ/producer Sabzi from Seattle hip-hop due Blue Scholars. The song  was Amazon’s song of the day for November 20th and you can get it free right now!

Fences released their self-titled LP this year, produced by Sara Quin of Tegan & Sara fame. They are currently touring the nation to support the album.

Gordon Voidwell To Play Some Shows, Offer Remix Contest

Since releasing The Voided Checks Mixtape things have been going swimmingly for Gordon Voidwell. He’s received national acclaim for his original material AND tracks he’s produced for others (including Das Racist and a remix of Twin Shadows).

Now Voidwell has announced he will be playing a couple of New York shows later this year. Along with live performances, Voidwell wants to see how well you can remix. He’s teaming with Indaba to challenge all of you to remix his song “Ivy League Circus”. There are even prizes! (Click here for what you can win).

Matisyahu Releases New Chanukah Song

Getting into the holiday spirit, Matisyahu has released a new Chanukah single this week with “Miracle”.

The track was produced by Kool Kojak (who assisted Flo Rida, Katy Perry and Ke$ha) and features some catchy beats and gorgeous chimes (it’s a holiday song after all).

Matisyahu said that “there are so many Chirstmas songs out there. i wanted to give the Jewish kids something to be proud of.” He’s streaming the catchy tune on his website and you can find it on iTunes.

Decemberists Detail International Tour

The Decemberists have detailed a very extensive tour to support their upcoming full-length. Ironically excluding the month that is in their name, the band has a tour schedule that sees them traveling the globe from January to March.
