Full Deck Comes Alive with Bold New Single “Get It Wrong”

Full Deck are a young band from Burlington and Oakville, Ontario. After releasing 2 EPs and a handful of singles, Full Deck are ready to make their mark on the Canadian music scene in 2022. Their newest single, “Get It Wrong” follows the success of the release of their single “Found Somebody to Love” in Jan 2022.

Get It Wrong” is about proving the dream killers wrong. The song was born out of a rebellious hope to see all those people eat their words and realize that it’s possible to make a career in music. Not that Full Deck expect to reach success without putting in the work – in fact, the more the haters expect them to fail, the more driven they are to get what they want.

“Achieving your goals and cultivating a life that you want requires effort,” said lyricist, Jesse Lang. “It won’t be handed to you.”

Pedal Generic Debuts Hypnotic Release “Pedagogy”

Pedal Generic’s new empowering and liberating single, “Pedagogy” is the first taste of what’s to come from his upcoming full-length record, also titled Pedagogy. The 23 year old songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has been making music for over 6 years.

The new single “Pedagogy” began as an instrumental without a clear purpose for two years before Pedal Generic revisited it to add guitars and vocals to make it into what it is today.

Dana Gavanski is “Under the Sky” with New Single

Arriving where introversion and extroversion meet, forthcoming new album When It Comes is Dana Gavanski’s most vulnerable record to date. A Canadian-Serbian artist unafraid of extremes, she seamlessly blends her love of music from the 50s-70s with mythology. Led by instinct in its purest form, Dana’s latest chapter is an ode to the voice as an instrument – its power, and how intricately it can deliver words to tug at, and tie knots in, every heartstring.

Under the Sky,” the second single to be shared from When It Comes, was written as an end of summer tune. Dana wanted to create something innocent and love-y sounding but also plaintive and questioning: that hazy way we sometimes feel when looking back at the past and the memories that stick and wonder what really happened. Shifting perspectives, waves of emotion, chest full with that bottomless breath.

James Alphonse Delivers the Goods on “i dont need to choose”

Aided by mentors Nick Blagona (The Police, Deep Purple, Beegees) and Mark Daum (inventor of the piantar), James Alphonse is gearing up to release his debut solo EP produced by Andre Kaden Black (Fefe Dobson, Francesco Yates) and Tal Vaisman (21 Pilots, Imagine Dragons). Ranging from electro pop, pop rock and chill r&b, it’s tough to pin his music down.

James’ latest single, “i dont need to choose,” is about relationship insecurities faced by his long-term and long-distance partner. He reassures, “I always tell her that I wish I could show her what I see, because then she’d know for sure that I don’t see any other choices. She’s the one for me.”

Safeword Deliver “Food For Something Else

Safeword is four friends from Dartmouth and Halifax, NS who bring honest, often danceable indie pop-rock to your ears. The band calls itself basement music therapy because – formed just prior to the pandemic – Safeword’s basement rehearsals and songwriting sessions got its members through two years of pandemic and loss.

The band’s triumphant new single, “Food For Something Else,” is about wrestling with how to not waste your life in a desperate attempt to retain your youth. The song starts out softly before crashing in and unraveling into a wailing guitar solo – all set to a rhythm you could junior-high dance to.

Jozem Delivers Eclectic New Single “Goderich”

With eclectic tastes and influences stemming from his colourful upbringing, Toronto-based artist via Kenya and Rwanda, Jozem, establishes his artistry through meaningful, expressive music that’s thought-provoking, sincere and relatable. Still something of a best-kept secret, Jozem has impressed audiences with his intimate and expressive performances, anchored by a voice rich in emotion and texture. His lyrics and sounds emanate from intense depth and contemplation, offering a brief glimpse into his soul, whilst leaving room for interpretation and self-application.

With his sophomore project, it came to me in a dream, on the horizon, Jozem hopes to extend fans a further glimpse into his world with the release of “Goderich” — a song about letting go, in order to fall in and out of love with the creative process. “It is in these ‘in between’ moments of quiet that you will find inspiration again,” Jozem accepted after feeling disconnected from his art.
