The Man Who Unveil Epic New Single “Money”

With nearly 30 million streams on their 2019 debut EP Bet on You, Canadian alt-rockers The Man Who have spent the last year honing their craft and are ready to return with their best work yet.
New single, “Money,” is a snapshot of how it feels to live in a capitalistic society. It’s from the perspective of the many, not the few. Sometimes it can feel like we’re all in a rat race to nowhere. Being distracted by the latest tech gadget or fad online, while the few get richer and richer and the global divide in wealth gets bigger. It’s about the diminishing middle class and the question of where is it all heading?

Anzola Gears Up for “Bodega”

Anzola is a Toronto-based, Venezuelan-born recording artist and multi-instrumentalist, whose loop-based neo-psychedelic music incorporates elements of instrumental hip-hop, electronic, jazz, and Latin music.

Layered with different textures of nature sounds and percussion to add to the swing of the beat, “Impressions” invites listeners to take a moment to slow down and embrace elegance.

Bodega was inspired by a constant back and forth of high energy and exhaustion. “These songs are fragments of memories and moments of my own story, my own growth, my failures and my losses,” Anzola explains. “Like a bodega, this album can be small and tight but you get everything you need.”

The Royal Foundry Debut “Hello Dreamer Baby”

Canadian indie-alt rock band, The Royal Foundry, found inspiration for their upcoming single, “Hello Dreamer Baby,” on a spontaneous road trip where they discussed their dreams, goals, and their desire to accomplish them in the now.

This rhythmic piece of pop rock embodies the attitude that “you are made to be that which you dream to be. No matter how you get there, who you meet along the way, or how many detours it takes – it will always be waiting for you, so try and try and try and try,” emphasizes the band.

Join husband and wife Jared Salte and Beth Schumacher on their road trip featuring a sunrise that reveals amazing red rock canyons with each passing second in the music video for “Hello Dreamer Baby.” It is a tenacious yet euphoric journey.

Elephant Stone Reveals Hazy New Video

Rishi Dhir writes what he knows. In Elephant Stone, the modern psych-pop band he has helmed for the past 13 years, Dhir has woven stories of loss and grief, existential crisis and rebirth, and a world withering away all set to elegant, intense droning music. What Dhir knows—and something so many of us can relate to over the past two years—is presented with such clarity on Elephant Stone’s latest, Le voyage de M. Lonely dans la lune. The EP, set for release on February 18th, is sung entirely in French, a departure for the English-speaking band.

“I built this story line about a hermit named “M. Lonely” who is very content in his solitary world until a world event happens that causes everyone else to stay home as well… sound familiar?” Dhir says. “He sees this as a mockery of him and his choices, deciding instead to build a rocket ship to the moon to be left alone,” Dhir explains. Unravelling over the course of four songs with raucous hooks and voltaic synths on first two tracks, and lonely, soft melodies on the last two, M. Lonely, Dhir says, “ultimately realizes he was happier back on imperfect Earth with all of its imperfect people.”
