Sia Shells Shares the Eclectic “3%”

Toronto-based singer songwriter, Sia Shells, rhymes about the everyday magic we find through relationships, self love, reflection and dreams. Her juxtaposition of emotive, contralto vocals against upbeat dream pop sounds will instantly transport you to another world.

Sia’s moody, self reflective and intimate new track, “3%,” highlights the all too common feeling of phone separation anxiety. This past year has resulted in no other means of really communicating with our friends and loved ones than from a distance. Our attachment to devices is felt through the low percentage we experience and the chaos that ensues.

Jordana Talsky Reveals Gorgeous New Single “Oh Yeah”

Jordana Talsky is a singer, songwriter and vocal looper who fuses multi-genre influences into her own sound. A person of several voices, her ethos is to incorporate digital means into live performance in an organic way. Accompanied by a loop machine, she creates a choir of one with no pre-recorded parts. This unique skill has earned her final placements in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition and Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Competition. “Oh Yeah” is her insightful new single, posing the question, “How often do we actively reflect on our life happening?” It’s about a moment of awakening and listening to your inner voice; like when you remember something you had forgotten about, a dream that all of a sudden comes back in a flash, that allows you to stand outside of yourself and contemplate.

Goodnight, Sunrise Unveil “Won’t Be Long”

Founded in 2011 by Vanessa Vakharia (keytar, vocals) and David Kochberg (guitar, vocals) through a shared love of pop hooks, EDM drops, and the raw power of classic rock, Goodnight, Sunrise is a rock-and-roll-super-fun-dance-party band from Toronto, ON.

Originally penned in January 2020, new single, “Won’t Be Long,” has taken on an entirely different meaning. Looking ahead towards their 10-year anniversary as a band, Goodnight, Sunrise reflected on how far they’d come and how much further they still dreamed of going.

Won’t Be Long” was initially written as a pep talk to anyone faced with an uphill battle in pursuit of their goals, whatever they are – a song of hope and faith and perseverance. Now, over a year into a pandemic that has redefined every single aspect of everyone’s lives, “Won’t Be Long” has taken on a new anthemic meaning as we all grasp tightly at the belief that the end of this tunnel is slowly getting brighter.

Sean Watson Graham Unveils “Nice Night To Get Lost”

Sean Watson Graham’s musical journey started when his first band, Modern Space, bumped into an A&R person while walking along Queen St. in his hometown of Toronto, ON. Signed to a major label based on nothing more than their demo, the band had songs on the radio, toured the country with bands like Dear Rouge, and opened for Arkells.

Sean found inspiration for “Nice Night To Get Lost” within the movie Inside Llewyn Davis, falling in love with the acoustic sound and the storytelling aspect of folk music. He set out to create his own story-driven tune, partnering with producer Sam Arion (Mute Choir). This is the second single from his forthcoming debut EP, with co-writes from Keegan Powell (Teenage Kicks, Chastity) and Jesse Klein (Phaze).

Ghost Twin Unleashes New Single “Pet Ceremony”

Ghost Twin is a dark synthpop duo from Winnipeg, Canada that combines roaring synth lines, dirty pulsing bass, dreamy guitar, and a haunting vocal dichotomy where Baroque meets Industrial.

Earnest single “Pet Ceremony” sees Ghost Twin coming out of the shadows and into the sun by exploring new production elements from the French House genre. Sparked by the saddening thought of their dog’s inevitable passing, it’s taken from their album Love Songs for End Times out now which explores the fragility of the natural world.
