His His is the project of Toronto-based artist Aidan Belo. Combining delicate guitar lines with simple yet thoughtful vocals, Belo created this project as an outlet after relocating to his family’s hobby farm outside of the city, in an attempt to evoke something rural and honest. Most easily defined by the Portuguese word saudade, a feeling of longing and melancholy, “Matador,” the debut single from His His, captures the mood that Belo felt in the barn where he recorded it one afternoon: feelings of melancholy, relative passivity, and low-spiritedness.

Amelia’s Dream just released their 6th full-length release on November 27th, 2020 “Everybody’s Got Something “ featuring 14 original songs including the single “Hero “ which was released with a video in May 2020 as a Thank you to the front line workers in NYC. The video featured actual front line heroes in action. “Everybody’s Got Something” the title song was performed live at the Apollo theatre a few weeks after it was written late last year but never recorded until now. Most feedback from fans has been how healing “ Everybody’s Got Something “ has been so we felt it was important to record this and share this with the world now. Especially now.

Amelia’s Dream is a duo based in New York City. Amelia’s Dream consists of songwriter/Singer  Amelia S. Gewirtz & musician/producer/songwriter Harold Stephan. Their original music has been featured on multiple TV shows and movies including  Wishmaster 4 (“Garden”) Dog the Bounty Hunter (“Broken”) season 7, Disney In a Heartbeat (“Trust Your Gut”). “Ballerina” was chosen as the theme song for the web series Good n’Screwed now being shopped in 2020/2021 to transition to a TV series. In addition, their original music has been on various scripted shows on networks including CBS TV, ABC, MTV & Disney.

They have been performing together for over 24 years starting in ‘96 with the record Here in the Rage, and performing at clubs like The Mercury Lounge, The Knitting Factory, and The Bitter End and appearances at events including  7 years as a featured band at NYC Marathon and AIDS Walk earned them a strong NYC following. Their second album, Love Tattoo, was released in ‘99 on Ripe & Ready Records, with a third album Unravel: Recorded Live at the Magic Shop following in ‘04. Inspired by the birth of their son Adam in ‘07, the husband and wife team released a fourth album No More Time in 2013 under the name Parents With Angst…  Amelia’s Dream is thrilled to be sharing their new original music with you today.

Michaela just shared her debut single, “The Earth Has Music,” along with a visual accompaniment. The song’s message is an invitation to the listener to tune into their inner space as the place where all answers emerge and the moment as the ultimate teacher. The mood of the video is directly connected to the changing of the seasons.

Michaela Bekenn is a Toronto-based interdisciplinary singer-songwriter. She was steeped in the arts from a young age, growing up within the Shaw Festival Theatre community, and captivates listeners with her raw and honest sound. As a songwriter, Michaela’s intention is to share music that is both enlivening and grounding for the listener, which encourages self reflection and community connection.

Loryn Taggart was raised in the prairies from Hungarian roots and moved to Toronto at 16 to pursue life in music — at 18 she landed a gig playing keyboards and backing vocals with a better-than-usual Toronto-based bar band called CANVAS. That came complete with a cross-Canada on-the-road tour and a SoundClash Music Award nomination.

Following the success of her first solo EP release Irene (February 11, 2020),  Loryn landed an opening slot on renowned Canadian Folk-songwriter Donovan Woods’ solo tour. Now, Loryn is working on her debut full length album set to be released by spring of 2021.

In the meantime, Loryn has shared a new single “The River” – an acoustic, nostalgic folk track with orchestral strings and a driving rhythm. 

Vancouver post-punk outfit ACTORS released its debut, It Will Come to You, in 2018 on Toronto-based Artoffact Records. The band spent the following 18 months touring the USA, Canada, and Europe, hitting many of the best-loved festivals, including Terminus Festival, Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Cold Waves, Infest, A Murder of Crows, and others.

The band recently announced their sophomore album, Acts of Worship, set for release in 2021. Ahead of the release, ACTORS have shared lead single “Love U More” which embraces the bittersweet moments of loss with the anticipation of new possibilities. Buoyed by big bold beats, expansive synths and syncopated bass, the track is an exciting return from the edge of the abyss. Produced, mixed and mastered by lead ACTOR Jason Corbett at his Jacknife Sound studio, the track is just a taste of what is to come on the album.

The track has also been paired with a visual by JUNO Award winning director Peter Ricq who took ACTORS’ shadowy stylings and made this season’s definitive eerie accompaniment.

Hollow Graves keeps the fire burning with their arsenal of new material, all written in a live performance setting to capture the fervent energy of the band. 

“Far Out Summer” is a psych-inspired indie rock track with surf guitar and distant, echoing vocals. Their new single, “Far Out Summer,” is self-produced by the band, enlisting help from long-time friend and musician Logan Trearty in mixing and engineering the songs.
