I’m not usually one for making musical predictions but in this case I just can’t help it. I have a feeling after the release of ‘Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist,’ that Bishop Allen is going to have the same amount of success that the Moldy Peaches did after “Juno.” I haven’t even seen the movie yet (it comes out October 3rd),  but every time I see the commercial, their song “Middle Management” is all I really take in. Bishop Allen also has a cameo in the movie which is beyond cool. I have no doubt we will be seeing a minor-major explosion in the Bishop Allen fanbase this fall. But hey, they deserve it.

In other Bishop Allen news, the band is apparently half way through finishing the new record, which they claim will be more like their ‘Charm School’ days and less like “The Broken String.” Either way you know it will turn out good. The album will be released on Dead Oceans in February 2009 with a domestic and international tour to follow.
